Richard Singer: Managing Director and CIO
Mr. Singer has a distinguished 30-year career in the futures industry, as a broker, trader, and consultant. Starting his career with Bache and Company in 1971 as an account executive, he discovered his passion for the futures markets and was hired by Conti Commodity Service, a division of Continental Grain Company, where he spent four years getting an extensive education on commodity markets, trading techniques, and the futures industry in general.
Mr. Singer next joined Loeb Rhodes, Hornblower, & Shearson to broker and run their commodity division in Beverly Hills, California. From 1979 to 1996 Mr. Singer was a futures trader and consultant, both in his own firms and, from 1980 to 1992, for the Talisman Fund and Lancelot Futures Fund in Century City, California, and Zurich, Switzerland. In 1996, Mr. Singer joined the Private Client Group of Altegris Investments, formerly the Managed Investments Division of Man Financial, a subsidiary of the Man Group, in La Jolla, California, as an Alternative Investment Advisor. Mr. Singer left Altegris in 2006 to join Price Asset Management as Senior Vice President.
